How do I Put Images in my Sidebar

  1. Create or Login to your Flickr account - http://www.flickr.com/ (you may need to create a Yahoo ID, click the link at the bottom of the login box to do this)
  2. Click ‘your photo’s and copy the URL in your address bar
  3. Go to http://www.idgettr.com and paste the URL, now copy the outputted ID
  4. Login to your wordpress account, click ‘manage’, click ‘plugins’ and click to enable ‘Flickr Manager’ and flickrRSS’
  5. Click options, click ‘Flickr’, and click authenticate, and click ‘Ok I’ll allow it’
  6. Go back to your Wordpress account, and click ‘finish’
  7. Click FlickrRSS (in Wordpress—>options)
  8. Paste your ID you got from step 3 and choose your image display options.
  9. Click ‘Presentation’, then ‘Widgets’ and drag and drop the Flickr widget to your sidebar. By adding a widget to your sidebar, you delete all other widgets, so be sure to add the ones you want to keep from this section.
  10. Click “View Site” and you should see any images on your Flickr account in your sidebar. If you don’t see any, you will need to add images to your Flickr account.

Troubleshooting

If the images appear, but they are too big, you can change their size from the flickrRSS menu (Options—>flickrRSS)
